SNAKU HAIKU

I'M BACK FROM MY TRAVELS, IN TIME TO DO THIS WEEKEND'S ASSIGNMENT.   IT'S AN ADDICTIVE KIND OF THING, WRITING HAIKU.  I'M ON THE SOUTH BEACH EATING PLAN, SO WHAT MOST PEOPLE THINK OF AS SNACKS ARE A THING OF THE PAST.  HERE ARE THREE HAIKU CELEBRATING THE NEW ME.  ALAS.

    Perfect by Itself

Look, Wasa Soya
crispbreads, such flat little boards
dense with fibrous crunch!

  Green Thoughts

I’m doing South Beach,
snacking on celery,
chips but the stuff of dreams.

    Small Packages

Oh yes, what a treat,
low-sodium V8 juice,
and yummy cheese sticks!

LOL!  These are great.  I especially like the Wasa Soya one..."dense with fibrous crunch"...what a perfect line!

Great Haiku's and equally great snacks. However, I would need some peanut butter on those celery sticks. Welcome Back! :-) ---Robbie

A belated Happy Birthday to you.  If no improvement by Tuesday AM then get theee to a Doctor.  Contact Dermatitis can appear similar to Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, but without the subdermal pustules (blisters) you haven't mentioned so far.  Cortisone cream *dabbed* on can help relieve itching.

And I forgot the original reason for commenting.  I liked the haiku - but avoid cheese sticks for heart & areterial reasons.  I know - if you keep giving up stuff, life soon will be intolerable.  Been there & say it still.  ;p

no no, olddog, these are lowfat cheesestix!  the recommended snack for South Beach dieters, the guru of said diet being a cardiologist and the whole point of this diet being better cardio and arterial health.  i'll be having bloodtests soon for the whole battery of stuff, all the lipids (my cholesterol and triglycerides were skyhigh when tested last) and whatever else is on that sheet.  we'll see how, or if, this diet has brought any of it down.  stay tuned.

I love your haikus
Delicious and nutricious
to body and soul

Small challenging poems
I don't find them addictive
but then I'm lazy

happy e-birthday
a day late (but not really)
happy e-birthday
