I joined Bookcrossing.com (see previous entry) tonight, and will be making my first book release tomorrow. Like those of you who commented, I have a hard time parting with my books. So, I took the easy way out and chose one of our TWO copies of Carol Shields' Stone Diaries. Don't know how we ended up with two of them, but it certainly made it easy to decide. I'll be taking it up to The Circle to leave at the Indian River Espresso Bar tomorrow after class. If you'd like to read my "release notes" on the book they're here. We'll see what happens, if anything.

Smart move releasing a duplicate! However the only dupes I have are of Heidi. One is probably 60 years old and the other is 30 years old. AAAAACCCK!!! I got the second one when I was a child. Well, actually both, but the second one was brand new. ;-) ---Robbie

i'm giving my children's books to grandkids, nieces and nephews, Robbie, and Heidi is certainly one of the best. did you used to play Heidi when you were a kid? we did, the goats, the grandfather, the mountains, what a life. i desired it with all my heart.
Yes, RC, the plunge. it was, too, i had to give the book a sad little pat goodbye and wish it well, EVEN THO a dupe. i hope someone finds it soon.
